HAVI Logistics supported SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) in a Cold Chain Analysis project and competition in China recently. SIFE is an international non-profit organization that works with leaders in business and higher education to mobilize university students to make a difference in their communities while developing the skills to become socially responsible business leaders.

The final competition was held in Guangzhou on 25th July where 4 best teams out of 18 teams from universities across Mainland China presented their final analysis and actions to Bill O’Brien, President of HAVI Logistics Asia, HLA Executives - Charles Chang, John Tan, Linson Lin, Lydia Fei, and Norwell Coquillard, Chairman & President of SIFE China.
The final competition included teams from Beijing University of International Business and Economics, Shanghai Ocean University, Southwest University of Finance and Economics and Guangdong University of Technology.

The presentations were very impressive and included cold chain industry knowledge and practices in China, information about competitors, SWOT analysis and creative recommendations about cold chain public awareness and promotions.
Guangdong University of Technology emerged as the winner and the runner-up was Shanghai Ocean University. Apart from prizes and certificates, the students were offered internships with HAVI Logistics in China.
The HAVI-SIFE Cold Chain Analysis project was indeed a great success. It has helped improved student and public awareness on food safety and cold chain logistics in China.
