This year, HAVI Logistics Hong Kong is the fundraiser for a project to launch the first-ever Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) 2011 calendar to raise funds for RMHC. The funds will help maintain and operate the Ronald McDonald House Hong Kong. RMHC, is a non-profit organization without governmental subsidization, provides accommodation for critically-ill children and their parents, so that the parents can accompany their children being treated at the Prince of Wales Hospital and going through the healing process together.
Unlike traditional calendars which cover 12 months, the key feature of the RMHC calendar is that it covers 18 months. All HAVI Logistics committee members at the project are volunteers and the sales of the calendars are fully donated to RMHC after deducting the production cost.
This project has been well supported by various units including our suppliers, customers, group companies and individual staff. The total amount raised is over HK$120,000.
