The jobholder is accountable for supervising the execution of delivery schedule by routing and scheduling vehicles, delivery teams, Drivers’ activities relating to the distribution of products to customers of the local market, products receiving, quality inspection, storage, rotation, order selection, order consolidation, repacking and products loading into delivery trucks within the warehouse of Distribution Center.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Plan the weekly devanning schedule by liaising internally with the Inventory Control and Transportation Teams and externally with contractors
Supervise and execute daily devanning activities by matching storage capacity with incoming shipments, adjusting devanning schedule whenever necessary, and daily delivery by routing and scheduling vehicles and delivery teams / Drivers’ activities, and coordinating with customers
Project operation team (project management, execute the leading of project and analyze the problems and discrepancy from the operation and cooperate with related department to provide an appropriate resolving), to communicate and cooperate with customer as contact window and ensure customer’s satisfaction
Conduct day / night route inspection
Arrange product pick-up bookings by liaising internally with the Inventory Control and Center Teams and externally with contractors
Coordinate and prepare details / petty cash for airport pick-up teams
Ensure standards of the “quality inspection program” (QIP) and “tender loving care” (TLC) are met in the product inspection and handling processes
Ensure safety at work by liaising for regular vehicle maintenance and enforcing proper work procedures
Ensure proper product storage and rotation
Control issuing of tunnel tickets
Issue limited amount of petty cash
Monitor order selection and pallet formation
Design load plan and supervise loading on time
Investigate facility, product failures such as Dump and Distress, and service failure Over, Short and Damage (OS&D), and down trend of the distribution efficiency measurements (DEM) such as warehouse productivity, service level, transportation productivity, on time deliveries, delivery frequency and propose / execute corrective actions
Handle minor operational problems and report them to manager
Seek continuous work improvements by developing new operational practice
Take part in regular physical inventory count together with the Inventory Control, Customer Services and Finance and Accounting Teams to ensure stock and operation accuracy
Take part in regular HACCP / AIB / DC audits
Prepare, upkeep and file operational and worker data, records, notices, reports, statistics, and logs such as operating the distribution module of the CORES-Lite system
Ensure safety at work and security at the warehouse by enforcing proper work procedures
Monitor the performance of workers, contractors and vendors
Assist in workers’ training, development and motivation
Deploy manpower by scheduling workers’ shift roster and arranging workers’ working overtime, temporary helper or contractor’s help whenever necessary
Handle and report workers’ injury at work, and prepare relevant documents
Handle emergencies and coordinate with relevant parties
Any other tasks as assigned from time to time
Qualifications /Skill Set
College Degree and above
More than 5-year experience and at least 3-year experience in logistic management
Good communication skills internally and externally as a team member
Confident, trustworthy, customer-oriented and able to work in a fast paced environment
Fluent in both oral and written English
Analytical skills
Working under high pressure
Excellent computer skills in Excel, PPT
